Particle Swarm Optimization

This book shows the use of Bio inspired optimization technique(PSO) for the speed control of DC motor. These techniques are widely used in various area to calculate objective function. Book is divided into seven chapters, which will sufficient amount of information about optimization techniques. Chapter one describe about work objective and literature review. Chapter three discuss DC motor mathematical modelling. Chapter four deal with conventional controllers and its tunning methods. Chapter five includes Optimal PID Tuning using Performance Indices. Chapter six shows details of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) Algorithm. Chapter seven includes Conclusion and Future Scope.

At present he is an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at United College of Engineering & Research, Allahabad.He has guided 2 PG and several UG thesis.His Area of interest is Electrical M/C.
